Residential
Potomac Waterfront
Set along the Potomac, a pair of bathroom renovations takes its cues from the home's waterfront setting. In the primary suite, soft blue-greens, warm wood and custom millwork are layered with a stone mosaic floor inspired by the pebbled shoreline just beyond the house. The children's bath takes a more playful turn, with a crisp blue-and-white cement tile pattern lending a fresh, Bermuda-inspired feel.

A Note from Elizabeth
“This 1970s Colonial had worked hard for past owners for many years. When my clients purchased the home, they called on L. Alden Designs to help it better serve their growing family. With four young children, we reworked the layout to improve access, flow and function. The children’s bath has a playful nod to Bermuda, while the primary bath takes its cues from the home’s coastal views, balancing masculine and feminine elements with generous sink and storage space.”
